We’re not sure if there are many school leavers following the career path and progression towards Facilities Manager. It’s perhaps a lesser known occupation and one which isn’t publicised very well, but it should be!
Increasingly it’s becoming more complex, higher profile and technical. Facilities Managers need to understand changing behaviours and the ways buildings are used, and the pandemic has increased the demand for occupancy analysis. We have a huge role to play in affecting environmental considerations, and can step up to lead the way in tech-savvy forward thinking.
